Your parents, they are a hoot and a half! Thank goodness for Zoom, or whatever means you use for video-communicating with them. And you're so right about what a blessing it's been for your girls to have them so close by while growing up there. A solid foundation of family love there.
Oh it has been! It really took a village! Especially the way my husband traveled in the early days, and me juggling a full time job and trying to build a YT Channel so I could ultimately be home with them :) It was so wonderful to have my parents here to help out! And the dividends that has paid for the closeness my girls have for my parents and vice versa is so sweet!
Oh my goodness, how exciting! I'm actually tearing up for you leaving your parents though, maybe they'll come too...praying for you all a safe trip, and especially your sweet little George. Can't wait for your next adventure on YouTube, yay! And looking forward to your cookbook. So many things! Bon Voyage!
Oh, I know leaving the parents was the most gut wrenching although I must say in marrying a foreigner. I knew it could be a possibility one day. It’s kind of one of the things I think you sign up for knowing that it may come. When my parents and I talk about it, we also talk about how many wonderful years we’ve had here together and how they really did help raise our girls so many years of memories and good times that we never would’ve had if we had moved to france off the bat. And the deal with my husband is that I’m coming back two times a year to check up on those two and make sure they don’t get into any trouble ha ha ha.!
Oh wow, Beth!! Do you ever take a break?! :) It’s exciting yet bittersweet to hear your news about moving to France permanently! Best wishes for this next life chapter. Please keep the vlogs coming! I’ll keep your parents in my thoughts, I’m sure this is hard for them to process also but with technology the world has gotten smaller these days. Will you be selling your house in LA? I will miss seeing it as the backdrop for your videos! XOXO
Oh, I know it feels like this year there have been no breaks ha ha ha I’m actually looking forward to a 13 hour plane ride so I can just sit and do nothing maybe sip a little champagne ha ha ha! Yes, we sold the house which is a lovely couple that has a lot of ideas for it so it made me feel good. We said no to two offers from developers who just wanted to knock it down.😂 But I think you will also enjoy getting to know the house. It’s another lovely little spot that will play prominently in those videos to come. Wish us luck here we go!💕💕🙌😘🇫🇷🍾
Isn’t it funny how the items with the least value, like a bat made out of a toilet paper roll, become the most invaluable and priceless during a move like this? They don’t have a price yet they are priceless!! This goes to show how little we actually need in life and what’s truly important. It’s admirable how supportive your parents are of your experiences. I’m sure that you will turn any house into a home and I’ll be sure to watch how you all adjust. Something tells me it may be harder for your husband than he thinks, as I have to imagine life in France has changed quite a bit in the last 30 years. :) Just whatever it is that you do, don’t ever stop producing the videos and your channel. We are all so used to it and love it. The couple that bought your house is so so lucky to have it. Oh well, this is life. Time to move on to bigger and better exciting and new things. Hugs!
It's SO true! As my husband says "don't look back, just charge ahead!" LOL! (said to me during the week we put the house on the market and I was a weepy fool!" Ha!)
Oh Beth, I am so happy and excited for you and SO jealous!!! How wonderful! I love your French episodes and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your life in France. Best wishes for a safe trip and for your new life adventure.
