I know many of us are still on our “New Year, New You” kicks, trying our best to stay on track with our health goals. But, with Valentine’s Day approaching, I just couldn’t help but share these dainty little cookies/cakes known here in France as Les Financiers.

They are typically sold in French bakeries, packaged up into little bags, but I find they are even better when made at home because there’s nothing better than a warm financier just out of the oven with a strong cup of coffee.
Silicone Mold vs. Metal Tin
I typically don’t go for silicone molds, especially for things like Caneles or Madeleines, where I’m partial to non-stick metal, but in this instance, the silicone works much better for even browning and a quick release!
Unboxing the Cookbook!
This week I finally received my finished cookbook in the mail! I waited for you guys to unbox it :). You can see my first reactions in the video below!
Still haven’t pre-ordered?
You can do that here! That way, you’ll be the first to receive it in early June when it goes on sale. YAY!
Why You’ll Love This Book:
This book is a compilation of the top 101 recipes I believe everyone should know how to make, from a classic Christmas Dinner to a casual brunch. These recipes are my go-to favorites that I turn to time and time again because they involve minimum effort but deliver maximum impact.
Let’s face it: entertaining can be stressful enough, so the recipes should not be hard!
This book will guide you through a year of seasonal entertaining, including drinks, appetizers, mains, sides, brunch dishes, and desserts.
Why You’ll Love This Book:
There is a photo of every recipe!
Each recipe has a notes section for tips and tricks to help you achieve success!
Each recipe has a “Make-Ahead Game Plan” to identify things you can prep beforehand.
Each recipe has a “Pairs well With” section that leads to other recipes in the book that pair well with each other, helping you create menus.
Or leave the planning to me! The back of the book has eight seasonal menus, from Thanksgiving to Mother’s Day, designed using recipes from the book and complete with game plans to help you manage the prep.
I also include entertaining advice on how to keep your cool while entertaining, how to build a collection of plates, flatware, and serving pieces, how to deal with awkward situations that will arise, and lots of fun personal stories from my own parties!
The book also comes with a snazzy book ribbon to help mark your place! (One of my favorite little details!)
Looking forward to June when I receive your cookbook!
What a combo....the unboxing of your beautiful cookbook And financiers, my favorite tasty treat.
Congratulations, Beth.
