Sure, Pecan Pie is traditional. We make it each year, sometimes without question.
But let me try to tempt you with this Chocolate Chewy Nut Tart instead.
It’s kind of like Pecan Pie’s fancier cousin. But I promise, just as easy!
Watch The Video Demo Below!
Here’s What You are In For:
Two days before you can make the tart dough.
The day before all you have to do is make the easy nut filling, transfer to the tart shell and bake. Only takes 25 minutes.
Then drizzle on the chocolate with a wire whisk (I’ll show you how in the video above) no pastry bags needed!
Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
Et voila!
Ok, Ok, if you are really craving the pecans, try these insanely addictive Pecan Squares with Shortbread Crust. Seriously good, do not be left alone with them the day after Thanksgiving. Just saying!

Make the Filling:

Update From France:
Yes! I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner here in France. But what it will be I have no idea! We are expecting 13 guests, a combination of French family and French friends, who have never had a “Thanksgiving Meal” before.
I’m a nervous wreck because I want it all to be delicious so they can see why we love it so much, and to make sure I serve something very traditional, but I’m not sure I can find all the ingredients here?!
If you had to make a Thanksgiving meal for a group of people who have never had one before, what dishes do you think “define the holiday” and should not be missed! Let me know in the comments below! xx Beth
Turkey and gravy for certain. Colorful vegetable sides and something tart. But, we're a house divided - cornbread dressing or mashed potatoes!
I love the humility of our American Thanksgiving. I would stick with the basics (however YOU Beth are anything but!) Roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy sweet potatoes and a nice veg dish. Ina Garten has a lot of ideas for veggie sides. Don’t make too many! I have made that mistake!
