Is there anything more classic than a Quiche for Easter Sunday? It’s one of my go-to Brunch Recipes! But when quiche goes wrong, it can really go wrong! The watery filling, the wobbly center, the soggy crust. Getting a Foolproof Spinach Quiche Recipe took me years to master! But lucky for you all my mistakes, turned into teachable moments and tips for how to pull it off with success!
Serve your quiche with a tossed salad and my tangy French Vinaigrette. A go-to recipe in my husband’s French family. It’a a recipe I learned from my Mother-in-Law the first time we visited her in France. She whisks it up in the salad bowl an hour or so before serving and then all she has to do is throw in the greens and toss! It’s a very handy system!
Beth, I Need Easy! What’s That Menu?
Oh yes, I know the feeling (see below!). I’ve got you covered.
I would kick things off with my Blueberry Muffins. You can make those 2 hours before guests arrive. Keep them in the tin and if you want to reheat moments before they arrive, pop them in a preheated 300F (150C) for 15 minutes. Serve with Coffee, Mimosas and Juice.
The night before you can whisk up my Puffy Egg Bake, and then all you have to do is bake 30 minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite salsas!
45 minutes before serving, throw in the Roasted Potatoes, get them going on the middle rack of your oven, then 15 minutes after, place them on the lower third rack of your oven and pop in the egg bake on the middle rack. That way they will be done at the same time.
Meanwhile on the cooktop you can be sauteeing up the Maple Rosemary Sausage (a super easy and delicious recipe!) and once they are cooked through transfer them to a small oven-safe gratin dish that you can squeeze in the oven next to the eggs or potatoes. Or sometimes I even push the potatoes to one side and place the gratin dish right on the potato pan.
And for extra credit, you could serve a fresh berry salad (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries-that way NOTHING needs to be chopped!) and toss it with freshly julienned mint.
And your DONE! :)
The Infamous Hammock Accident! (as referenced in the audio version of this newsletter see above!)
Oh no! I hope you're on the mend! I must say, I missed not having a video from you on Saturday morning (it's become part of my routine), but completely understand why it's missing. Again, hope you are feeling better!
Oh Beth! I'm so sorry about your hammock accident! Something similar happened to my sister years ago. She sat down in one that collapsed under her and wound up with terrible whiplash that took months and months of healing. I've never looked at a hammock the same way since! Wishing you a speedy recovery and a pleasant and pain-free Easter.
