I recently had something at a restaurant here in France that was seriously “to-die-for!”. It was so simple and delicious, that I just had to share it!
Madeleine Profiteroles!
Whaaaat? I know right? Genius!
They took the madeleines, split them in half, sandwiched them with ice cream, and chocolate sauce, and well I’m sure you know how this ends up!
This is what it looked like at the restaurant.
But I think you could make them a bit more “dainty” shall we say? Truth be told, I shared this dessert with a table of 4!
Below is a video demo “reenactment” in case you want to see for yourself how totally easy (and delicious!) this concept is!
Here are the Recipes!
You can use my Homemade Madeleine Recipe and pair it with my Hot Fudge Sauce recipe, et voila!
This would also be a great recipe for Mom on Mother’s Day, or really any special occasion.
Make-Ahead Game Plan
You can make the Madeleines in the morning.
Make the chocolate fudge a day ahead. Store it in a Pyrex pitcher. Then microwave on high until warm and liquified.
Then all you have to do is slice and assemble when it is time to serve dessert! YUMMY!
