Since we moved to France, we cannot get enough of these Nutella dessert waffles! Drizzled with warm Nutella and topped with fresh whipped cream, they are a decadent little treat that is also fun to serve for a dinner party. We get them at our local beach cabinet and we’ve been trying to crack the recipe ever since! (Rest assured I’ve got it!)
French dessert waffles have a different texture than American Breakfast Waffles. They are chewy on the inside (not cakey) and crispy on the outside—a fantastic combination! I also find they are better than original Belgian Waffles because I find they are not as sweet. This allows you to add the sweet things on top, and for me the best combination is warm Nutella and whipped cream!

For Your Next Dinner Party!
Can you imagine at your next dinner party getting up and making waffles for everyone?! What a fun surprise that would be for your guests! And it would be easy too! (not like a crazy omelet bar, or make-your-own pizza night 😩)
All you have to do is make the batter the night before (it’s better when made the night before!), set out the toppings, heat up the waffle iron, and let your guests add their toppings as soon as they come out of the waffle iron! It would be a huge hit!
